Jason Pearce is a systems engineer and web developer living in Carmel, Indiana, which is a suburb of Indianapolis.


Professionally, Jason is an systems engineer for Riverview Hospital and is responsible for the company’s IT infrastructure. His primary responsibilities are managing the hospital’s server, desktop, and application virtualization infrastructure via VMware vSphere (ESXi), VMware View, VMware ThinApp, and Citrix XenApp. Learn more via his LinkedIn profile.


When away from his laptop, Jason plays volleyball, travels to far destinations, and gets caught up in Xbox video games.


Jason is the author of Keeping Navigation Current With PHP, featured in A List Apart’s November 2003 Issue. Jason also served as editor of the “Cross & Crescent” magazine for 10 years, an alumni magazine for Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Jason also runs a personal blog where he writes articles and commentary on technology, travel, photography, and life.


Jason has a lifelong goal to visit as many countries as he is old. He didn’t want to wait until retirement to see the world, he wanted to enjoy and benefit from his travels throughout life. Jason has visited more than 50 countries and maintains a nice list of where he has visited.
